Synopsis
Following on the massive investigative piece that I wrote on the dueling forces around Modigliani's legacy, this piece noted that his personal archives had been quietly moved to Rome in the midst of several investigations regarding questions regarding the certification of alleged forgeries by Christian Parisot, a Modigliani expert. Epilogue: Two years later, Parisot was sentenced to two years prison for faking drawings by Jeanne Hébuterne, Modigliani’s mistress and model.
