I come from a long line of teachers. My parents taught in both universities and high schools. And my French grandparents spent their entire careers as instituteurs. I didn't choose an academic career path, but I love teaching, especially the interaction with students.
In 2016, I was invited to create an artworld module at Università Bocconi in Milan, and have for many years been a Visiting Professor in the premier school’s Arts, Culture, Media and Entertainment masters program - a tremendously rewarding experience, with many of ‘my’ alumni now active in the artworld. I've also spoken at institutions including Sciences Po in Paris, University of Chicago Business School, Hong Kong University, IE in Madrid and School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
In 2025, I launched The Art Market Minds Academy, a joint venture with the Art Business Conference that has offered foundational courses, startup coaching and, most recently, the topic-specific sprint course “AI x the Art Market.” You can find upcoming courses on the AMMA site. See you in class?
