Synopsis
Very long investigative piece re the market of African photographer Seydou Keïta, who had just died at age 80 leaving behind an enormous pile of negatives from his decades of work evocatively photographing local people in his native Mali. The story has a strong cast of characters, including the collector Jean Pigozzi and the gallerist Sean Kelly. In the end, this was one of those tragic stories where power battles damage the legacy of an amazing artist.
